31 Dec Upgrade Your Car Goals This Year

This year of 2019 was a great one, full of surprises and growth. Make this new year of 2020 even better by upgrading your car goals. “What are car goals?” you may ask. Car goals can be anything to improve the quality and functionality of your vehicle on the road, inside and out. Maybe that looks like clearing out your junk in the trunk or upgrading your tires to the new ones you’ve been eyeing lately. Whatever it is, 2020 is the year to step up your game and branch out. Your car will thank you as well as your wallet. Here are some ideas we came up with to start getting you to think about ways to upgrade your car in this new year!

Replace anything that is under performing.

Twenty-twenty is a good year to finally upgrade anything that is under performing within your vehicle. If your tires need upgraded, don’t wait any longer. Fill your tires, if needed, get an alignment, or replace them if they are too worn. Ask your local tire shop to see if you are in need of completely new tires. Also check your oil, your fluids, and filters. Get an assessment at your local auto repair shop if you are unsure of what specifically is wrong. A new car goal for this new year is to not delay on getting repairs/replacements.

Pay off your vehicle in 2020.

Another great car goal for the new year is to pay off all your vehicle expenses! If you have been paying the least a month for your car and can pay even just a bit more, make it a priority. Create a stricter budget if you need to in order to finally pay off your car. The more you pay upfront each month, the less interest overall you will pay. If you have more money left over each month from less expenses, use that money to pay off your car debt. Do what you can with what you have.

Be gentle with your vehicle.

It can be tempting, especially when you own an older car, to drive rough. Take this new year to think more about the way you drive and have a goal to drive gentler than before. This may sound silly to you, but it works wonders on your car. Be nice to your car just like you would be if it was brand new. Try to accelerate smoother and be gentle with your brakes. While you can’t avoid some unexpected moments on the road, you can control how gentle you drive.

Get new mats.

If you have an older car or you are in the mud a lot, take this year to start looking for new car mats! It’s super quick and easy to find new mats for your model of car. Check your owner’s manual to see what kind you need, and order them online from your car dealer or manufacturer. New mats will make a huge difference in the odor and cleanliness of the inside of your vehicle. It will be more appealing to the eyes and more enjoyable for you and your passengers.

Find a better car repair service.

Lastly and most importantly, find a better car repair service in your town. If you haven’t been pleased with your car mechanic, this new year is the perfect time to start researching for a new one. You and your car deserve the best of the best service. Talk to reliable friends and family to find a service that fits your needs and desires.
